Monroe County Clerk Romeo: Thank You For Your Support
Dear Mendon Democrats:
I am writing to thank you for your generous contribution to my re-election campaign. In my first term serving as your County Clerk, our team took on a global healthcare crisis and I am proud to say that we have persevered through it stronger and more united as an organization.
We’ve successfully relocated 2 DMV branches, broadened our vision and reach of our Mobile DMV Unit, and continue to look for new partnerships and opportunities to better access to the vital services we provide. And we’re just getting started.
With support like yours, the County Clerk’s Office can continue to focus on our mission, to make every interaction with a resident in our office the most impactful it can be.
Again, thank you for your generous and continued support!
Sincerely,
Jamie Romeo
Monroe County Clerk

Redrawn Districts for NY-25
From Congressman Joe Morelle: Have you heard the exciting news? Earlier this year, the Congressional district lines in New York were redrawn, resulting in minor adjustments to our district. The new map now includes a portion of Ontario County. To the residents of Victor and East Bloomfield, welcome to NY-25! I’m eager to spend time chatting with voters to learn more about your most important issues.

Pick Up The Parks
The Mendon Democratic Committee will be in Mendon Ponds Park on Saturday April 20 to help Monroe County “Pick Up the Parks.” Committee members will join Monroe County school classes, scout troops, churches, civic organizations and individual residents in the county’s annual spring clean-up program.
Organized by the Monroe County Parks Department, Pick Up The Parks leverages community support with county resources to clean up the parks’ winter accumulation of trash and debris; reduce litter that enters our local waterways, and get the parks looking great for spring and summer! Volunteers will be asked to pitch in to pick up trash and litter, rake sticks and leaves, clear the grounds and walk ways, sweep out shelters or lodges, and help out with weeding and mulching.
Barring extreme weather (can we imagine 3 feet of snow in April?), the event will be held rain or shine.
The National Parks Service notes that Mendon Ponds Park, which covers more than 2,600 acres, is unique among glacial landmarks because of its complex of features, including kames, eskers, esker fans, kettle holes, erratics, bogs, and ponds.
The Park is known locally for its year-round schedule of recreational activities; from sledding and cross country skiing in winter to running, biking, picnicking and strolling about in summer. Kathleen Cook, Chair of the Mendon Democratic Committee, noted Mendon Ponds Park is “a local treasure.”

Morelle Submits More Than 6,000 Petition Signatures

From Congressman Joe Morelle: Today is the deadline to submit petition signatures to secure my position on the ballot. I am proud to announce that my campaign submitted over 6,000 signatures! This could not have been possible without the support of the Monroe County Democratic Committee leaders, committee members, and volunteers—all of whom worked tirelessly on behalf of our 2024 Democratic slate. I look forward to a strong year for Democrats in Monroe County and across New York!
